Fuel Pump & Lines:
In many modern cars the fuel pump is usually electric and located inside of the fuel tank. The pump creates positive pressure in the fuel lines, pushing the gasoline to the engine. In most cars the fuel pump delivers a constant flow of gasoline to the engine. When the flow becomes less constant, your car starts acting sluggish or just stops acting altogether.
There are a number of reasons a fuel pump can fail, but the most common factors are contamination, overheating, and the gears of the fuel pump itself wearing out. If a new fuel pump is ever needed, the technicians at Send A Friend will make sure your car is fitted with a proper name brand fuel pump. |
